CGS06 Burst Generator and
CGS28 Sequential Switch

The CGS Burst Generator and Gate Sequencer make a nice pair. You can patch the End Out and the Pulses Out of the Burst Sequencer to the Reset and Clock inputs of the Sequential Switch, respectively. The Pulse Count control on the Burst Generator determines the length of the sequence, which runs at the rate set by the Clock Rate control. The Sequence stops and resets when the Pulse Count is reached. The sequence starts over each time the Burst Generator is triggered. Retrigger Enable allows the sequence to be restarted by a new trigger before it is finished. With the output of the sequencer fed through a lag module, it becomes a multi-stage envelope generator.

The Sequential Switch can also be clocked from a VCO running at audio frequencies. The output of the Sequential Switch will be an arbitrary stepped waveform running at 3 octaves below the VCO pitch. Varying voltages can be fed to the 8 Sequential Switch Input jacks, for hours of amusement!

The Sequential Switch is wired to give the traditional step voltages when nothing is plugged into the switch inputs.
